- Recommend commercially sound approaches that strengthen long-term client partnerships.
- Establish and grow strategic relationships with national retailers and key client stakeholders.
- Conduct regular customer reviews and identify actionable insights to improve retailer engagement and business performance.
- Support executive-level retailer engagements and contribute to top-to-top strategic discussions.
- Drive collaboration between clients and retailers to improve customer experience and sales performance.
- Analyse customer feedback, surveys, NPS results, and commercial performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Translate insights into practical growth strategies and operational improvements.
- Present strategic recommendations and business cases to senior stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving client satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and growth across the broader business portfolio.
- Work closely with Client Executives and internal teams to enhance customer experience strategies.
- Deliver persuasive commercial presentations that clearly communicate value propositions to clients and stakeholders.

Role Overview
The Customer Development Manager is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving strategic client growth, strengthening retailer partnerships, and unlocking long-term commercial value across key accounts. The role acts as a central growth and insight engine within the business, leveraging data, relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to identify and execute opportunities that increase market share, improve client ROI, and enhance customer experience.
This position requires a commercially astute leader with deep FMCG, retail, and sales experience, capable of influencing senior stakeholders, shaping strategic direction, and leading high-impact customer development initiatives across complex retail environments.

Candidate Requirements
- Postgraduate Degree in Business Management, Sales, Commerce, or a related field.
- 10–12 years’ experience within FMCG, retail, sales, or customer development environments.
- Proven experience operating at Senior Management level.
- Strong track record of managing key client relationships, retailer partnerships, and commercial growth strategies.
- Experience working with national retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
