An established engineering consultancy specialising in services to the mining industry is seeking a Senior Geology Consultant to provide exploration assistance, support Mineral Resource estimation, and conduct geological modelling. Experience across multiple commodities would be advantageous. The successful candidate will provide exploration advice and assistance where required and should have experience in both production geology and exploration environments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimation, exploration planning, exploration management, and exploration programme execution
Develop and maintain client relationships, identify business opportunities, and contribute to business growth
Conduct technical tasks including data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
Coordinate project elements, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards
Stay up to date with technical developments and take accountability for continuous professional development
Develop and optimise technical practices within the organisation
Assist with technical report writing and compilation in line with reporting codes such as JORC, SAMREC, and NI 43-101

Candidate Requirements

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

BSc (Hons) in Geology
4+ years of relevant industry experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in production geology or exploration
Strong technical skills in geological modelling, Mineral Resource estimation, and exploration planning
Experience in exploration management and exploration programme execution
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Strong attention to detail with an organised and structured approach
Proficiency in geological software packages such as Datamine Studio RM, Surpac, Micromine, or Leapfrog
SACNASP registration advantageous
