The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and providing technical solutions to customers within the wood, furniture, footwear, and broader manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities include: *Developing new business opportunities within target industries *Building and maintaining strong relationships with factory managers, production managers, and business owners *Conducting regular site visits to manufacturing facilities and workshops *Assessing customer production requirements and identifying operational improvement opportunities *Recommending suitable machinery and material solutions based on customer needs *Preparing quotations, negotiating commercial agreements, and closing sales *Managing and maintaining an active sales pipeline *Growing existing accounts and identifying additional sales opportunities *Monitoring market trends and competitor activities *Achieving monthly and annual sales targets *Providing professional technical support and product advice to customers.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Matric required;
• Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical or industrial sales;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
• Experience selling into manufacturing or production environments is essential;
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the Western Cape.
