This role sits at the centre of that ecosystem. You will help shape how systems connect, how environments are standardised, and how integration platforms scale reliably across the Merchant Division.

The Role

You will manage and enable integration platforms and infrastructure alignment across the Merchant Division, ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable connectivity across systems while supporting platform consistency, environment standardisation, and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with Infrastructure, ERP, CRM, Product, DevOps, Data, Engineering, BPMO, and Risk teams to shape integration architecture, platform standards, automation approaches, and environment governance across the technology landscape.

You are technically strong, operationally focused, and delivery-oriented. You enjoy solving integration complexity, improving platform reliability, and building standardised environments that enable scalable and resilient delivery.

What You'll Own

Integration & Platform Enablement

• Implement and enforce API and integration standards across all integration initiatives.
• Manage and optimise iPaaS, API gateway, and messaging platforms.
• Ensure integrations are designed using reusable, scalable, and secure patterns.
• Monitor integration performance, reliability, and availability across environments.
• Support onboarding of new systems into the enterprise integration ecosystem.

Platform & Environment Standardisation

• Standardise infrastructure environments across development, testing, and production.
• Implement automated provisioning and configuration management processes.
• Define environment templates, deployment standards, and operational controls.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to align CI/CD pipelines with platform standards.
• Monitor and optimise infrastructure utilisation, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Architecture Governance & Risk Oversight

• Ensure all platform and integration implementations align to architecture standards.
• Maintain platform and integration risk registers covering resilience, scalability, and operational risk
•  Identify and remediate single points of failure across infrastructure and integration layers.
• Maintain accurate documentation for integration flows, dependencies, and configurations.
• Support audit and governance processes through evidence-based compliance controls.

Technology Lifecycle & Platform Optimisation

• Manage lifecycle planning across integration platforms and infrastructure components.
• Identify legacy integrations and drive platform modernisation initiatives.
• Evaluate new integration technologies, tooling, and automation capabilities.
• Improve platform scalability, reliability, and operational cost efficiency.
• Drive adoption of modern integration patterns and platform best practices.

Stakeholder & Service Integration

• Coordinate integration delivery activities across Application, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
• Support delivery teams with architecture guidance and implementation oversight.
• Manage integration delivery dependencies, timelines, and operational constraints.
• Communicate platform capabilities, limitations, and changes clearly to stakeholders.
•  Resolve cross-team integration bottlenecks and delivery challenges proactively.

What You'll Bring

You are equal parts integration specialist, platform architect, and operational problem solver. You understand how integration reliability, environment consistency, and infrastructure alignment impact delivery speed, operational resilience, and long-term scalability.

You are comfortable operating across architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering domains while balancing governance, automation, performance, and business delivery needs.

• Strong experience in integration platforms, API architecture, and infrastructure alignment.
• Deep understanding of iPaaS, middleware, API gateways, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and automated provisioning approaches.
• Strong understanding of platform governance, operational risk, and infrastructure resilience.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across technical and business audiences.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in an architecture-focused role.
• Experience in complex, multi-product or multi-business-unit environments preferred.
• Financial services, fintech, or payments industry experience advantageous

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification essential.
• MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar iPaaS certification strongly preferred.
