- Relevant tertiary qualifications will be advantageous.
- MINIMUM PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
- Basic technical experience with an electrical and or mechanical engineering background.
- Advanced computer literacy skills in MS Excel/Word and Outlook.
- A valid driver’s license (Code 08) and EB would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently.

- Must be available to work after hours on an ad hoc basis.

A very established licensed Medical Device Manufacturer, Distributor & Wholesaler and a trusted provider of high‑quality Printing & Packaging solutions in Johannesburg is looking for a Junior Field Service Technician.
Requirements:
DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL QUALITIES
Candidate Requirements
- Ensure all required tools, parts and PPE are prepared before departing for any service or repair
- Wear required PPE at all times when visiting customer sites
- Attend to planned services according to the approved Service Schedule
- Complete services in line with SOPs or OEM Maintenance Schedules
- Complete a job card for every service or repair, listing all parts used, calibration equipment used and completing all required fields
- Obtain customer sign‑off on job cards before leaving the site
- Report all issues identified, document them on the job card and obtain approval from line manager before performing any work outside the service plan
- Submit job cards to the CE Admin team within 48 hours of completing work
- Assist other Service Technicians with transport, handling and installation of equipment
- Ensure Safety File is available for all services and repairs and comply with all Health & Safety requirements
- Participate in after‑hours support according to the On‑Call Schedule
- Maintain completed paperwork, meet monthly service schedule, ensure zero callbacks and zero customer complaints
- Contribute to positive Customer Satisfaction Survey results
- Prepare all required tools, parts and PPE before departing for installations or commissioning
- Wear required PPE at all times when visiting customer sites
- Complete pre‑installation checks, commissioning and testing according to SOPs or OEM Maintenance Schedules
- Assist with packaging, unpacking, loading and off‑loading of equipment
- Conduct pre‑site inspections and document readiness requirements with the customer
- Complete IQ, OQ, PQ and installation documentation according to OEM or SOP requirements
- Complete a job card for every installation, listing all parts and calibration equipment used and completing all fields
- Obtain customer sign‑off on job cards before leaving the site
- Submit job cards to the CE Admin team within 48 hours
- Report installation issues immediately to line manager and customer where applicable
- Provide customer training where required and record training in training registers
- Perform de‑commissioning of equipment according to SOPs, OEM instructions and customer requirements
- Maintain completed paperwork, ensure successful installation and commissioning, meet installation schedule, ensure zero callbacks and zero customer complaints
- Contribute to positive Customer Satisfaction Survey results
- Work with CE Warehouse and CE Admin to ensure all stock procedures are followed and stock levels remain accurate
- Participate in periodic stock takes and stock variance investigations
- Report stock discrepancies, damages or shortages immediately
- Perform collections and deliveries where required
- Ensure products, raw materials and consumables are stored correctly and warehouse staff are trained on storage, handling and transport requirements
- Maintain accurate branch stock levels and ensure product availability
- Ensure Macola records remain up‑to‑date and accurate
- Investigate and resolve variances timeously
- Maintain daily housekeeping of vehicle, factory and workshop areas
- Report and document all Environmental, Health & Safety issues immediately
- Maintain organisational Health & Safety principles
- Maintain accurate records such as Safety Data Sheets and liaise with the Health & Safety Officer to ensure correct handling, storage and transport procedures
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment
- Maintain accurate document files at all times
- Maintain zero Health & Safety incidents
- Report and document all customer complaints and assist with investigations and resolutions
- Report and document all product quality issues and assist with investigations and resolutions
- Maintain product quality and safety throughout the Technical Services cycle
- Ensure supplier quality documentation is up to date
- Improve processes and policies to support organisational goals
- Implement departmental and organisational procedures and monitor adherence to rules and regulations
- Work with the Product Manager to manage product and supplier complaints
- Document NCAs and ARs where required
- Maintain zero audit findings
- Ensure complaints and NCAs are raised and closed timeously
- Maintain information required for B‑BBEE audits
- Complete supplier assessments and resolve issues timeously
- Attend meetings, provide input and capture minutes
- Follow up on action plans
- Complete all checklists and forms on a periodic basis and submit them timeously
- File all reports and records
- Identify and archive records annually after the financial audit
- Maintain efficiency and quality at all times
- Ensure all company assets issued (vehicle, tools, PC, phone etc.) are maintained in good condition, kept safe and issues or losses are reported immediately
- Complete all related forms and checklists on time
- Manage filing and archiving of paperwork
- Conduct skills assessments with Supervisor
- Attend and successfully complete all required training
- Record all training
- Ensure staff remain skilled, efficient and knowledgeable
- Maintain up‑to‑date training information
- Ensure effective communication
