- Exposure to heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environments
- Diploma or certificate in Production, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field – advantageous
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Effective Time Management, attendance and record keeping.
- Strong electronic, written & oral communication skills.
- Methodical, with an ability to work under pressure whilst being attentive to detail, with the capacity to multitask, must be able to use own initiative, and be a team player.

Candidate Requirements
- Assist in daily, weekly and monthly production planning activities
- Update planning schedules and track adherence to production plans
- Coordinate with procurement, stores and production teams to ensure sufficient raw materials and consumables on hand at all times
- Highlight potential constraints or risks impacting production schedules
- Ensure Quality Control checks are completed and approved timeously
- Notify the Factory Supervisor immediately of quality issues, staffing shortages or production delays
- Complete, file and submit all required paperwork on time
- Maintain clear, timely and effective communication with all stakeholders
- Develop the monthly manufacturing schedule with the Factory Supervisor
- Generate and issue production work orders aligned to the production plan
- Issue work order instructions to Factory and Warehouse
- Ensure all work order packs are accurate, complete and properly authorised
- Monitor work order progress and update status as required
- Close work orders upon completion and capture all relevant data
- Capture finished goods into stock accurately and timeously
- Ensure correct allocation of materials, labour and outputs to work orders
- Maintain accurate system records of production outputs and stock movements
- Reconcile production outputs against work orders and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare quantity adjustments for approval
- Generate production put‑aways
- Monitor and report on monthly production and wastage targets
- Maintain Product Masterfiles
- Perform periodic stock counts of raw materials and consumables
- Investigate stock variances within 48 hours
- Complete Non‑Conformance forms for all issues within 48 hours
- Maintain accuracy of raw material and consumable stock records at all times
- Support the preventative maintenance plan for the Pretoria office and all departments
- Monitor preventative maintenance activities and report monthly
- Add new equipment to the maintenance schedule and remove obsolete equipment
- Ensure the maintenance schedule is up to date and all preventative activities are completed before due dates
- Add new equipment requiring calibration to the calibration schedule and remove obsolete items
- Ensure the calibration schedule is up to date and all calibration activities are completed before due dates
- Obtain quotes for all maintenance work
- Ensure all maintenance work is approved
- Obtain Job Cards or Completion Certificates for all maintenance work performed
- Support housekeeping of the Factory area
- Perform ad‑hoc checks
- Record temperature and humidity readings daily and report weekly or when breaches occur
- Enforce Health & Safety principles including no cellphones in production, correct PPE and adherence to demarcations
- Report all Health & Safety incidents timeously
- Manage safe disposal of expired and hazardous stock through approved vendors
- Perform investigations into NCAs and product complaints
- Ensure product quality and safety throughout the production process
- Ensure product quality and staff safety across all facilities
- Document NCAs and ARs where required
- Improve processes and policies to support organisational goals
- Implement departmental procedures and monitor adherence
- Develop training and skills plans
- Provide training where necessary
- Record all training
