Position OverviewSeeking a dynamic and hospitality-driven Assistant Management Couple to support the day-to-day operations of the lodge. The successful couple will work together to ensure exceptional guest experiences, smooth lodge operations, strong team leadership, and high operational standards across all departments.This role is ideal for a couple with experience in luxury hospitality, guest relations, lodge operations, reservations, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guiding.Job DescriptionGuest Relations & HostingWelcome and host guests throughout their stayEnsure guests receive exceptional service and personalised experiencesHandle guest queries, requests, and complaints professionallyAssist with guest check-ins and departuresMaintain high hospitality and service standardsLodge OperationsAssist in overseeing the daily operations of the lodgeEnsure smooth coordination between departmentsMonitor lodge standards, cleanliness, and presentationAssist with stock control and ordering proceduresSupport implementation of lodge policies and proceduresReservations & AdministrationManage reservations, bookings, and guest correspondenceAssist with invoicing, reporting, and administration dutiesCoordinate guest activities, transfers, and special requestsMaintain accurate guest and operational recordsStaff ManagementSupervise and motivate lodge staffAssist with staff training and developmentEnsure staff adhere to lodge standards and proceduresSupport disciplinary procedures when requiredFood & Beverage SupportAssist with restaurant and bar operationsEnsure excellent dining experiences for guestsMonitor service delivery and presentation standardsAssist with stock counts and controlsMaintenance & General SupportIdentify and report maintenance issuesAssist with basic lodge maintenance oversightEnsure lodge facilities and equipment remain in excellent conditionSupport reserve and operational activities where neededAdditional DutiesAssist with guided activities...
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, lodge, or luxury guest lodge management
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar assistant management role
- Excellent guest relations and hosting skills
- Strong administration and organisational abilities
- Experience with reservations systems and OTA platforms advantageous
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Housekeeping management experience advantageous
- Maintenance knowledge and problem-solving abilities beneficial
- Valid driver’s licence essential
- PDP and guiding qualifications advantageous
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure and manage staff effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-presented, professional, and guest-focused
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hospitality hours
- Passion for conservation, hospitality, and guest experiences
- Live-in accommodation provided
- Meals while on duty
- Uniform provided where applicable
