Job Purpose
The Field Sales Agent will be responsible for driving fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) product sales within Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs), including apartment complexes, estates, student accommodation, retirement villages, and sectional title developments across Gauteng.
The role focuses on acquiring new residents, engaging body corporates and property stakeholders, conducting activations, and increasing fibre uptake within connected buildings.
The successful candidate must be highly target-driven, confident in face-to-face sales, and comfortable working in residential environments and community activations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Acquisition
- Promote and sell fibre internet products directly to residents within MDUs.
- Conduct door-to-door and on-site sales activities in apartment complexes and estates
- Generate new customer sign-ups and achieve monthly sales targets.
- Educate residents on fibre packages, speeds, pricing, and installation processes.
- Upsell value-added products and service upgrades where applicable.
MDU Relationship Management
- Build relationships with:
- Body corporates
- Estate managers
- Property managers
- Trustees
- Letting agents
- Coordinate access approvals and engagement opportunities within MDUs.
- Represent the company professionally during meetings and resident engagements.
Activations & Campaigns
- Execute below-the-line (BTL) marketing activities including:
- Resident activations
- Pop-up stands
- Weekend campaigns
- Community events
- Information sessions
- Distribute promotional material and create local awareness campaigns.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management
- Identify new MDU sales opportunities across Gauteng.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and follow-up activities.
- Capture and update customer information accurately on CRM systems.
- Provide regular feedback on competitor activity and market trends.
Reporting & Administration
- Submit daily and weekly sales reports.
- Track sales performance against targets.
- Ensure all sales documentation and compliance requirements are completed
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ field sales experience.
- Telecommunications or fibre sales experience is advantageous.
- Experience selling within residential estates or MDUs is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Customer-focused approach
- Good problem-solving skills
- Basic CRM and mobile sales application proficiency
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively within Gauteng
- Ability to work weekends and evenings when required
