- Manage and lead a team of 4 Field Sales Agents operating within Gauteng.
- Conduct daily field visits to monitor sales activities and agent performance.
- Ensure agents are present, active, and operating within designated areas.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and motivation to the sales team.
- Conduct daily morning briefings and end-of-day performance reviews.
- Assist agents with overcoming objections and closing sales opportunities.
- Drive achievement of team sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Track conversion rates, lead quality, and productivity levels.
- Implement corrective action plans for underperforming agents.
- Ensure maximum sales penetration within allocated MDUs.
- Coordinate agent schedules, site allocations, and activations.
- Ensure all marketing material, devices, and sales tools are available and properly used.
- Maintain communication with property managers, estate managers, and body corporates where required.
- Ensure activations and campaigns are executed professionally and effectively.
- Conduct regular quality checks on customer interactions and submitted sales.
- Ensure compliance with company sales processes and documentation standards.
- Resolve customer escalations or operational issues in the field.
- Verify data accuracy and CRM updates completed by agents.
- Compile and submit:
- Daily sales reports
- Attendance reports
- Activation feedback
- Performance summaries
- Pipeline updates
- Provide feedback on competitor activity and market conditions.
- Assist management with forecasting and territory planning.
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Sales, business, or management qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ field sales experience.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience managing or supervising sales teams.
- Telecommunications, fibre, ISP, or direct sales experience preferred.
- Experience working within residential estates or MDUs highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of achieving and managing sales targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent coaching and motivational ability
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- High level of accountability and discipline
- Organised and operationally focused
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong reporting and administrative capability
- CRM and mobile sales system proficiency
- Valid driver’s license (non-negotiable)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Gauteng daily
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours when required
Job Purpose
The Field Sales Team Leader will be responsible for managing, coaching, supporting, and driving the daily performance of a team of Field Sales Agents selling fibre products within Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs) across Gauteng.
This is a hands-on field management role requiring daily travel between sales sites, activations, apartment complexes, and residential estates to ensure agents are productive, compliant, properly supported, and achieving sales targets.
The successful candidate will combine strong people management skills with operational discipline, field execution capability, and sales leadership experience.
