Our client, a leading rooibos export and marketing company situated in Citrusdal, is seeking a proficient and driven Supply Chain Officer to join their team.

The successful candidate has strong administrative and organisational skills, and exhibits high attention to detail. In addition, he/she has excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and clients.

This role will mainly be responsible for providing administrative and operational support across procurement, stock control, and sales functions.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Procurement and Receiving Support: *Performing required checks and handling documentation for receiving raw materials, mixed raw materials, and finished goods *Verifying delivery notes and quality checks and ensuring supplier invoices are submitted to Finance for capturing *Maintaining supplier and material records to ensure traceability and compliance *Flagging discrepancies or quality concerns with the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager. Production Planning and Logistics: *Ensuring production planning schedules are submitted to production timeously *Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure execution of production plans *Raising any out-of-stock (OOS) concerns with the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager *Collaborating with internal and external logistics teams to ensure orders are delivered In Full and On Time (IFOT). Administration and ERP Management: *Supporting monthly and ad hoc stock takes, and ensuring reconciliations and reporting *Generating supply chain and procurement reports as required *Maintaining accurate filing and record-keeping of procurement and supply chain documentation. Sales and Client Support: *Providing the sales team with accurate information regarding stock availability, packing options, and production requirements *Assisting with client queries *Supporting the preparation of client-facing supply chain documentation, including lead times, packaging specifications, and stock availability. Stock Control and Supply Chain Coordination: *Monitoring stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, and flagging risks relating to shortages or excess stock *Assisting in balancing inventory requirements with production schedules and sales demand *Supporting the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager in maintaining stock visibility and accuracy *Coordinating with warehousing and production teams *All other duties related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field;

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar supply chain or procurement role with a strong administrative support component (experience in the FMCG industry advantageous);

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Business Central advantageous);

• Own reliable transport.
