ARTISAN (ENGINEERING)
BASIC SALARY: R367 463 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: CS 57/26 ● VARIOUS WORKSHOPS
Requirements:
- Trade certificate and valid Code 10/C1 vehicle driver’s licence with valid PrDP
- One (1) to two (2) years’ experience
- Physically able to carry out all requirements of the post
- Applicants will be required to undergo Risk Driving Assessment.
Key performance areas:
- Provide an inspection and testing service to the workshop for vehicles, plant, equipment and fixed installation
- Fault find, test, and repair activities of all such assets to ensure that functionality is restored with minimal disruption to services
- Complete internal transactional documentation, such as time sheet, log sheets and vehicle checklists
- Provide planned and predictive maintenance activities associated with specific functional areas such as building mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Provide inspection and testing service to the workshop for vehicles, plant, equipment and fixed installations to establish the extent of damage
- Provide labour to effect service and repairs for vehicles or plant Assemble mechanical components for reinstallation of vehicle or plant machine
- Attend to field services/repairs as well as on site breakdowns
- Maintain safe work standards as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Assist in training and mentoring of junior staff.
