Hutton-Squire Farms Pty Ltd., an established apple and pear farming company in the EGVV area, requires a driven Senior Farm Manager with a passion for fruit farming and strong work ethic to join their growing team. The role will be based at one of their units situated in the Elgin area.

The ideal candidate is an innovative, technology-oriented individual with strong leadership- and planning skills, combined with personal integrity, and a commitment to continuous growth and improvement.

This position will report directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities will include: *Managing the production of pome fruit with emphasis on quality and implementation of best farming practices *Labour management and building motivated teams to ensure production efficiency *Irrigation management *Providing inputs as a part of the dynamic operational team *Providing inputs with budget setup and budget management *Planning and implementation of new orchard development *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Matric required, a relevant tertiary agricultural qualification will be advantageous;
• At least 5 years’ experience in pome fruit production, including experience in a managerial capacity;
• Knowledge of relevant quality systems and accreditations;
• Strong communication skills (Afrikaans & English);
• Strong computer skills (MS Office).
