Our client, a well-established fruit farming operation situated in the Koue Bokkeveld, has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Manager: Fruit Production with strong leadership skills to take overall responsibility of their apple and pear production.

This position is suited to an experienced, hands-on individual who is confident in managing large-scale production, driving financial performance, and leading teams in a results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities include: *Taking overall responsibility for ± 220ha and overseeing all production activities (from planting through to harvest) *Strategic planning and management of all production activities, and collaborating with relevant management members on planning and development of orchards *Setting up and managing budgets, monitoring costs, and reporting on production-related financial aspects *Personnel management, development and motivation *Management of daily farm operations *Ensuring compliance with required standards and certifications *Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a related field;
• 10 years’ experience with pome fruit production in a managerial capacity;
• Good understanding of budgets, costs, and planning;
• Good computer skills (MS Office);
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
