Our client, a well-established fruit farming operation situated in the Koue Bokkeveld, is looking to appoint a Production Manager to manage one of their apple and pear production units.

This position is suited to an energetic, proactive, and hands-on individual with good people management and communication skills, looking to grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities include: *Production unit management (from planting through to harvest, including irrigation, fertilisation, spraying) *Overall planning and coordination of production activities, working closely with the Estate Manager *Monitoring production and orchard performance *Workforce management *Assisting with implementation of budgets and cost control measure *Ensuring compliance with required standards and certifications *Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions *All other tasks related to this role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a related field;
• 3–5 years’ experience in fruit production (pome fruit advantageous);
• Good understanding of orchard practices and production processes;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
