Effective Sales and Merchandising is seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to support the daily operations of our facilities and ensure our working environment remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general maintenance, office upkeep, and basic repairs
Conduct daily inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns
Support Health & Safety compliance and risk control measures
Manage office supplies and assist with furniture or equipment setups
Liaise with service providers and contractors as required
Assist with meeting room setups and facility-related logistics
Perform minor cleaning tasks when necessary and support general housekeeping
Required Skills
- General Maintenance: 1 to 2 years
- Health & Safety Compliance: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
1–2 years’ experience in a maintenance, office, or facilities role
Basic handyman skills (painting, fixing, lifting, moving)
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
Good communication and time management skills
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Knowledge of health & safety standards will be an advantage
Valid South African driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
