You will manage your own client portfolio and ensure that accounting work is completed accurately, professionally and on time. Your duties will include preparing financial statements, reviewing financial information, processing and submitting statutory returns and liasing with SARS, assisting with management accounts, handling client queries and supporting clients with sound accounting guidance.
You will also liaise directly with clients, maintain strong relationships, and ensure that each client receives a high level of service and attention to detail.
What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an accounting practice and be confident in managing client work from start to finish. Strong financial statement drafting experience is important, together with good technical accounting knowledge, knowledge of taxation and the ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Relevant accounting qualification
- Experience in an accounting firm or accounting practice environment eg Saipa Articles
- Strong experience in drafting annual financial statements
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently
- Good working knowledge of accounting, tax and statutory requirements
- Strong computer skills and experience with accounting software
- Draftworx, Caseware, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar experience will be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a remote / hybrid environment
