Job Summary
Doppio Zero Sunninghill is seeking an experienced, energetic and hands-on General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational excellence, controlling costs and delivering profitability while upholding the Doppio Zero brand standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, excellent people management skills and a proven track record in restaurant management.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Ensure smooth service during breakfast, lunch and dinner periods.
- Maintain Doppio Zero operational and service standards.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized and fully operational at all times.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct daily floor walks and inspections.
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Recruit, train, mentor and develop staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules and rosters.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Manage staff discipline and adherence to company policies.
- Foster a positive, professional and high-performance culture.
- Lead by example and maintain a strong presence on the floor.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every guest receives exceptional service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Build relationships with regular customers.
- Monitor online reviews and customer feedback.
- Drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Financial Management
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Manage labour costs and staffing efficiencies.
- Control food and beverage costs.
- Monitor daily sales reports and key performance indicators.
- Manage stock variances and reduce wastage.
- Approve purchases within budget guidelines.
Stock & Inventory Control
- Conduct regular stock counts.
- Manage ordering and supplier relationships.
- Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
- Investigate and address stock discrepancies.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure all staff follow company procedures and legal requirements.
- Manage health and safety audits.
Marketing & Sales Growth
- Assist in implementing local marketing initiatives.
- Promote special events and promotional campaigns.
- Drive community engagement and customer loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
Administration
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly management reports.
- Maintain employee records and documentation.
- Manage supplier invoices and operational paperwork.
- Ensure accurate cash-up and banking procedures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The General Manager will be measured against:
- Monthly revenue targets
- Gross profit percentage

Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' restaurant management experience.
- Minimum 2 years' in a senior management or General Manager role.
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials and cost control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven experience managing teams of 20+ staff.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Computer literacy (Excel, MS Word, POS systems, email).
- Experience with stock management systems and restaurant reporting
- Own reliable transport.
Preferred:
- Experience in a premium casual dining environment.
- Hospitality qualification or relevant tertiary education.
