Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategy, optimizing sales processes, driving revenue growth and building industry relations. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Management

Design and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and achieve targets.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to improve strategies and identify new opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Address client needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer service.
Track and report on sales performance metrics, including conversion rates, revenue targets, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve team performance.
Provide ongoing training and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
Evaluate and improve sales processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative techniques to improve sales outcomes.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential areas for expansion. Use this information to guide strategic decisions and product offerings.

Staff/Team Management:

Lead the sales team to ensure optimal team performance and achieve sales targets.
Ensure employees are productive and adheres to performance standards by setting clear goals, providing open feedback, and measuring success. 
Monitor performance and engage in performance counselling where necessary to guide and assist employees in reaching performance goals.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and rules of conduct and implement disciplinary action fairly and consistently in accordance with the Company’s Disciplinary Code.  Ensure issues of misconduct and performance are addressed timeously.
Foster a positive team culture and engage in regular communication with staff to motivate them and to keep them informed of Company related information.
Identify staff training gaps, as well as growth and development needs and ensure this is addressed adequately and timeously.
Mentor and support the sales team for internal growth and development.
Approval of all leave in accordance with the Leave Policy and ensure staff adheres to leave management procedures.
Manage resourcing and staffing needs of team/department.
Identify and resolve staff grievances timeously
Any other duties as directed by your manager from time to time.

Candidate Requirements

Skills, Competencies and Minimum Requirements:

Sales management and strategizing.
Team management and leadership.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident and outgoing.
Analytical and solutions orientated.
Integrity and professionalism.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Results orientated and target driven.
Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and industry experience.
Computer literate with proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Must have experience within the EPC Space 
Valid Driver’s license and license card.
Willing and able to travel extensively within South Africa and neighbouring countries.
