Our client, an established agricultural and food production business situated in Clanwilliam, is looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Food Technologist to join their processed foods division.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a recent graduate who is eager to build practical industry experience within a dynamic production environment. The successful candidate will receive training and exposure across various aspects of food production, quality, product handling, and process improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with the production and management teams to support quality standards, monitor processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and operations.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Assist with monitoring production processes and food quality standards *Support quality control and food safety procedures *Assist with product evaluations, testing, and inspections *Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards *Support documentation, reporting, and record-keeping processes *Work closely with operational teams within the production environment *Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation *Support troubleshooting and problem-solving within the production process.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Degree or Diploma in Food Technology or a related qualification;
• Practical exposure within a food production or manufacturing environment would be advantageous;
• Good attention to detail and organisational ability;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Willingness to learn and develop within a hands-on production environment.
