Our client, a high-growth professional services firm specializing in compliance and business growth, is seeking a driven Senior Sage Payroll Support Consultant to join their team. This client-facing role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys building long-term relationships while ensuring payroll accuracy and legislative compliance for a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional telephonic and onsite technical support to clients regarding payroll systems.
• Manage the end-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
• Facilitate the submission of EMP501 reconciliations via e@syFile.
• Stay current with the latest payroll and tax legislation to ensure continuous client compliance.
• Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities and service upgrades for the firm.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Assist with essential administrative duties and process improvements as required.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience working extensively with Sage Pastel Payroll.
• Sage Pastel Payroll qualification (Essential).
• Sage PCC (Partner Cloud Controller) knowledge (Essential).
• Proficiency in other Sage software products.
• Microsoft Excel Specialist certification or equivalent advanced skills.
• Extensive experience with e@syFile submissions and SARS requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (Essential).
• A basic tertiary qualification is preferred.
