About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation based in Pinetown, is seeking a resilient and highly skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the confidence to manage complex accounts while ensuring optimal cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently managing multiple debtor books, including accounts involving foreign currency transactions.
• Proactively engaging with clients via telephone to secure payments and resolve outstanding queries.
• Negotiating payment plans and making firm decisions regarding Credit limits and account holds.
• Mitigating financial risk through meticulous monitoring of aging debt.
• Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting on collection activities.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Credit Management Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Credit Controller managing large, diverse portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience in handling foreign currency accounts and cross-border transactions.
• Strong communication skills with a firm and assertive approach to collections.
• High level of commercial acumen and the ability to work under pressure.
