SITE AGENT – BUILDING STRUCTURES PROJECTS Cape Town, Western Cape

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead and manage large-scale building structures projects in the Cape Town area.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall site execution of structural works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all site-based construction activities relating to building structures projects.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, materials, and site resources.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Drive programme performance and monitor construction progress against project schedules.
• Manage site budgets, cost control, and productivity targets.
• Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve site-related challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and site records.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in building construction with proven structures experience.
• Previous experience as a Site Agent on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication abilities.
• Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, quality control, and health & safety requirements.
• Proficient in construction reporting and project administration.
