We are seeking a professional, well-presented and customer-focused Concierge to join our team at Tokai Estate.
This role combines exceptional customer service with access control and security responsibilities to ensure residents, visitors, contractors and staff enjoy a safe, secure and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for many residents and visitors and will play an important role in maintaining the high standards of service and security expected within our retirement estate.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Greet and direct residents, visitors, contractors and guests entering and exiting the estate
- Provide visitors with information relating to Tokai Estate
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the property
- Assist residents and visitors in a professional, courteous and helpful manner
- Monitor access to the estate and buildings in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain visitor and contractor logbooks and assist with fingerprint access processes
- Monitor alarms and surveillance cameras covering the premises
- Watch for and report any irregularities timeously to the Manager
- Record incidents in writing and report them promptly
- Enforce security rules as outlined in the estate's security plan
- Conduct regular perimeter patrols
- Help protect the day-to-day operation of the estate by preventing security-related disruptions
- Respond appropriately to medical and other emergencies by contacting the relevant emergency services, including ambulance services, the fire department or law enforcement
- Provide general security support to residents, visitors and staff as required
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the estate
Qualifications
- Grade 12 advantageous
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in access control, concierge, reception, hospitality, customer service, or general security roles
- Experience within a residential estate, retirement village, hospitality, or client-facing environment would be advantageous
- Basic email and computer literacy
- Basic understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements and risks to people and property

Working Hours
Normal working days are Monday to Sunday, according to a roster.
The successful candidate will be required to work 16.25 shifts per month, with shifts scheduled from 06h00 - 18h00.
Remuneration
Salary on offer will be dependent on qualifications, experience and other market-related factors.
Sunday shifts are remunerated at time and a half.
In addition, employees are eligible for quarterly performance bonuses (paid every three months), based on both individual and company performance.
