Purpose of the PositionThe Junior Lodge Management Couple is responsible for ensuring smooth daily lodge operations, exceptional guest experiences, and professional safari guiding services. The couple will work together to manage front-of-house operations, reservations, guest services, and safari activities within a live-in lodge environment. Position DetailsPosition Type: Live-inWorking Schedule: 3 Weeks On / 1 Week OffAvailability: ASAP Position 1: Front of House / ReservationsKey ResponsibilitiesReservations and AdministrationManage guest reservations via telephone, email, and online booking platforms.Process bookings, amendments, and cancellations accurately.Maintain updated reservation records and guest information.Perform general front desk and administrative duties.Guest ServicesCoordinate guest arrivals and departures, including check-in and check-out procedures.Welcome and assist guests professionally and warmly.Provide information regarding lodge facilities, activities, and services.Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.Operations CoordinationLiaise with housekeeping, guiding, and operational departments to ensure smooth guest experiences.Assist in maintaining efficient front office operations.Key ResponsibilitiesGuiding and Guest HostingConduct professional game drives and bush walks.Host guests during safari activities and lodge experiences.Share knowledge of wildlife, conservation, and the environment.Ensure guest safety during all activities.Safety and ComplianceMaintain rifle competency and advanced rifle-handling standards.Ensure compliance with lodge safety and conservation regulations.Provide First Aid assistance when required.Maintenance DutiesPerform basic vehicle maintenance and checks.Assist with basic camp and lodge maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Hospitality, Tourism, or Front Office qualification advantageous.
Experience
- Previous hospitality, lodge, or front office experience advantageous.
- Experience with reservation systems and online booking platforms preferred.

- Computer literacy and reservation system knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications
- FGASA Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit).
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Rifle competency and advanced rifle-handling certification.
Experience
- Previous guiding or ranger experience preferred.
- Experience conducting bush walks, game drives, and guest hosting required.
