FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Johannesburg  

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within the mining industry.

·        SAICA accreditation with Part 1 qualification is advantageous

·        Pastel/SAGE and VIP Payroll/SAGE certification advantageous

·        Strong communication skills

·        Attention to detail and accuracy

·        Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·        Experience in executive reporting and annual business planning

·        Knowledge of IFRS and SARS regulations

Responsibilities will include:

·        Bookkeeping, including management of general ledgers and monthly reconciliations

·        Financial analysis and reporting to management

·        Maintenance of fixed asset registers

·        Statutory compliance (VAT, EMP201/501, Income Tax) and SARS submissions

·        Cash flow management, payment loading, and vendor management (reconciliations, invoice processing)

·        Payroll administration

·        Audit exposure (statutory and internal audits)

·        Month-end processes, management accounts, MIS costing, and reporting

·        Preparation and analysis of financial statements

·        Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

·        Collaboration with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, procurement)
