Employer: MSP Staffing (PTY) LTD

Our client is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor (Junior / Mid-Level) to join their Krugersdorp-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing QS professional to gain exposure across a range of construction and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on public and municipal sector work.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing preliminary and detailed cost estimates
Compile Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
Support tender evaluations (technical and financial) and reporting
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost reports, and cashflows
Support monthly valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts
Assist with contract administration across GCC, JBCC, NEC, and FIDIC frameworks
Support procurement processes including RFQs and RFPs
Maintain accurate project documentation and cost records
Work closely with senior QS staff to meet project deadlines

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

BSc / BTech Degree in Quantity Surveying
2 – 6 years’ relevant experience in consulting or construction
SACQSP registration or working towards registration (advantageous)
Exposure to public sector or municipal projects beneficial
Valid driver’s licence
Strong MS Excel proficiency

Technical Competencies:

Basic understanding of construction cost management and estimating
Familiarity with BoQs and tender processes
Exposure to GCC, JBCC, NEC, FIDIC advantageous
Willingness to learn PFMA, MFMA, and public procurement frameworks

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Team player with a professional and positive attitude
High level of integrity and reliability
