Our client, a large renewable energy player with operations across South Africa and internationally, is seeking a Senior Manager: Document & Information Management to lead their global document control function. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient management of all project and enterprise documentation across complex international renewable energy developments.

Experience working with internationally based teams is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and continuously improve global document management procedures across projects
Ensure compliance of all project and non-project documentation within DMS/ECM systems
Oversee management of project information across 1D, 2D, 3D, and data formats
Lead the Document Control Department, including staffing, performance, and operational delivery
Ensure effective document flow, control, and reporting across all projects
Oversee full document lifecycle including TTO (Take-To-Operations) handover to O&M teams
Drive training programmes and ensure onboarding content is up to date, including digital learning solutions
Manage and optimise Document Management / Enterprise Content Management systems
Collaborate with IT and digital teams to enhance systems and governance processes
Lead implementation and improvement of DMS/ECM tools and digital solutions
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, data governance, and information quality frameworks

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Administration or Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
7+ years’ experience in document management systems and processes
2+ years’ experience managing a team
Experience in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy environments advantageous
Strong MS Office proficiency
Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and ECM/DMS platforms beneficial

Technical Competencies:

Strong expertise in document and information management systems
Experience with enterprise content management (ECM/DMS) platforms
Basic project management understanding
Strong capability in technical information governance and interface management
