Purpose of the PositionThe Front Office and Spa Receptionist is responsible for managing reception duties for both the hotel front office and spa facility. The role focuses on welcoming guests, handling reservations, scheduling spa appointments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the hospitality establishment. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office DutiesWelcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.Manage room reservations and booking systems.Answer telephone calls, emails, and guest enquiries.Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.Spa Reception DutiesSchedule and confirm spa appointments.Assist guests with spa treatment enquiries and recommendations.Maintain spa booking records and client information.Promote spa services, packages, and wellness products.Customer ServiceEnsure guests receive professional and friendly service.Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently.Maintain a welcoming and relaxing environment.Administration and Cash HandlingProcess payments, invoices, and receipts accurately.Maintain guest and client records.Prepare daily reports and update booking systems.Coordinate communication between departments.Health and SafetyFollow hotel and spa hygiene and safety procedures.Maintain cleanliness and organisation at reception areas.

Working Conditions
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Beauty Therapy, or Office Administration is advantageous.
Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in reception, customer service, or hospitality.
- Experience in hotel or spa environments preferred.
- Experience using booking and reservation systems advantageous.
Knowledge
- Front office and spa reception procedures.
- Customer service standards.
- Basic administrative and financial procedures.
- Knowledge of spa treatments and wellness services is advantageous.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
