Job DescriptionPurpose of the PositionThe Financial Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial activities of the hospitality establishment, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance with financial regulations. The role supports management in making informed financial decisions to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial ManagementPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Maintain accurate accounting records and financial systems.Manage general ledger accounts and reconciliations.Monitor cash flow and banking activities.Budgeting and ForecastingAssist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.Analyse financial performance against budgets.Accounts and PayrollSupervise accounts payable and accounts receivable.Process supplier payments and customer invoicing.Assist with payroll administration and statutory deductions.Reporting and AnalysisPrepare financial reports for management.Analyse revenue, expenses, and profitability.Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.Compliance and AuditingEnsure compliance with tax regulations and financial legislation.Prepare documents for internal and external audits.Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes.Hospitality Operations SupportMonitor food and beverage costs.Control stock and inventory systems.Assist with pricing strategies and revenue management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification is advantageous.
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
Knowledge
- Financial accounting principles and practices.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Tax regulations and payroll administration.
- Hospitality financial operations and cost control.
Skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
