Advancement and Communication
The Advancement and Communication Department invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives
The Manager: Fundraising supports the Director: Advancement and Communications in developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated advancement and fundraising strategy to strengthen the University’s long-term financial sustainability. The role focuses on expanding and diversifying the University’s unencumbered funding base through effective donor cultivation, stakeholder engagement, and targeted fundraising initiatives, thereby supporting institutional growth, sustainability, and impact.
The Requirements
A relevant B. Degree (NQF level 7) or equivalent plus approximately 7 years’ relevant experience, where such experience includes: -
• Able to demonstrate a track record of successful fundraising, as well as where initiative has been taken to enhance or build key relationships.
• Proven track record of securing significant funding from diverse sources.
• At least 3 years’ management experience
• Previous experience working with senior management in an organisation, where strategic implementation has been required.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 16):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R849 546
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R1 098 433
