Why This Role Is Different
This is not a traditional finance role.You’ll work directly with the CFO and play a key role in supporting the group’s shareholder structures, international entities, tax obligations, and property portfolio management within a dynamic insurance environment.
The business is looking for someone who can combine technical excellence with commercial thinking, discretion, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Focus Areas
Insurance-Focused Financial & Tax Oversight
- Manage reporting, compliance, and tax administration across multiple entities
- Support governance and regulatory obligations within a short-term insurance framework
- Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations
- Monitor financial performance, fund flows, and reporting accuracy
Shareholder Trust & Offshore Entity Management
- Oversee trust administration and annual financial reporting processes
- Liaise with trustees, advisors, and offshore service providers
- Coordinate regulatory submissions, tax returns, and ownership disclosures
- Assess implications of group structure changes across entities
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with senior leadership and external advisors
- Support decision-making through accurate financial insights and compliance oversight
- Maintain strong governance standards across a complex multi-jurisdictional structure
ssential Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification
- Proven experience within the short-term insurance industry
- Strong exposure to tax, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working within complex or multi-entity structures
- Knowledge of South African tax legislation and governance frameworks
Advantageous Experience
- Exposure to trusts, offshore entities, or international structures
- Property portfolio or asset management exposure
- Experience engaging with executives, trustees, and external advisors
