Office Manager / Bookkeeper - East Rand, GautengWe are seeking a detailed-orientated and experienced Office Manager with strong bookkeeping skills.The ideal candidate will be required to manage the full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance level within a technical / project-based environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier and subcontractor accounts, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities.Bookkeeping & Financial Administration:Maintain accurate accounting records up to Trial BalanceProcess daily financial transactions and journal entriesPerform bank reconciliations and GL reconciliationPrepare month-end schedules and assist with management accountsEnsure all financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standardsManage company payroll processes,Administration:Manage daily office operationsAnsweering client calls and coordinating communicationScheduling technicians and installation teams in line with MD's requirementsAssist with organising job cards, site files, and project documentationTracking ongoing installations and maintenance jobsOverseeing the quotations, invoices, and purchase ordersTrack labour, materials, subcontractor and other costsInvestigate costing variances and discrepanciesSuppliers & Creditors:Manage supplier accounts and reconciliationsProcess supplier invoices and paymentsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding queries and statementsEnsure timely and accurate payment processingMaintain proper supporting documentationIntercompany Transactions:Process and reconcile intercompany loans, charges and recoveriesMaintain accurate intercompany balances across related entitiesAssist with intergroup invoicing and reconciliationsResolve intercompany discrepancies timeouslyCompliance & Administration:Assist with audit preparation and supporting schedulesEnsure VAT and statutory records are correctly mainta...
Minimum Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4-5 years bookkeeping experience to Trial Balance
  • Previous experience in a technical / project based industry preferred but not essential
  • Experience with Intercompany accounting
  • Proficient in Pastel / SAGE / MS Office - Intermediate Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Advantageous:
  • Experience with accounting packages / MS Office
  • Knowledge of VAT and Payroll processes
  • Experience working with multiple entities / group companies
  • Degree or N6 Financial Management
