Production Manager – Cape TownManufacturingFull-time | On-site Our client is an established manufacturing and distribution business supplying a wide range of outdoor cooking, braai, and lifestyle products to major South African retailers. Operating within a high-volume, multi-product environment, the business focuses on quality, efficiency, and consistent output across its production operations. They are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to drive operational efficiency, manage production teams, and ensure consistent output across multiple product lines. This role requires a strong process-driven individual with proven experience in managing supervisors, improving workflows, and delivering against production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations across multiple product lines
Manage and lead production supervisors and shop floor teams
Ensure production targets, deadlines, and output requirements are consistently met
Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Implement and monitor production workflows, SOPs, and quality standards
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
Monitor production planning and scheduling in line with demand and capacity
Ensure optimal utilisation of labour, machinery, and materials
Work closely with procurement and stores to ensure material availability
Ensure product quality meets required standards and specifications
Oversee health & safety compliance within the production environment
Track and report on production performance, output, and efficiencies
Provide regular feedback to senior management on operational performance

Requirements

Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of production processes, workflow optimisation, and output management
Experience managing supervisors and large production teams
Ability to work in a high-volume, multi-product environment
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Experience in metal, fabrication, or related manufacturing environments (advantageous)
