Employer: P2P Africa
As a BIM Modeller, you will serve as the vital link between strategic BIM Management and technical production. You will manage the flow of digital information across disciplines, ensuring that MEP and structural data adhere to standard BIM methodologies. Your primary focus will be establishing workflows, resolving coordination interfaces, and supporting both the internal team and the supply chain to ensure a "Right First Time" delivery of the Digital Twin.
Key Responsibilities
· Model Management & Coordination: Lead the creation and management of high-quality 3D models using Bentley OpenBuildings Designer (AECOsim) and MicroStation, specifically focusing on complex railway station MEP systems and infrastructure.
· Clash Avoidance & Resolution: Implement "clash avoidance" workflows. Liaise with discipline leads to optimize results using suppression rules and automated checks within the project's Digital Twin/iTwin environment.
· Standards & Quality Assurance: Enforce compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), ISO 19650, and the Project Component Catalogue. Conduct rigorous quality audits on model geometry and metadata before submission.
· CDE Management: Assist in the administration of the ProjectWise Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring a structured information flow, accurate version control, and adherence to naming conventions.
· Interdisciplinary Integration: Drive collaboration across disciplines to ensure MEP services are fully integrated with architectural and structural models, attending and contributing to regular coordination meetings.
· Supply Chain Support: Act as a technical point of contact for the supply chain and interface parties, providing guidance on BIM standards, conversion processes, and information exchange requirements.
· Reporting & Compliance: Monitor BIM deliverable status and contribute to regular compliance reports, ensuring the project remains aligned with the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR).

· Bentley iTwin / Design Review: Experience in cloud-based coordination and model review.
· MicroStation: Strong foundational skills in 2D/3D CAD production.
Experience & Background:
· Industry Experience: Minimum of 1–10 years as a BIM Modeller/Coordinator on major Infrastructure, Transportation, or Rail projects.
· Standards: Proven experience delivering projects to a ISO 19650 / BS 1192 standard.
· Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of MEP systems coordination within a railway station environment (e.g., HVAC, containment, fire systems).
· Production Environment: Comfortable working in a high-pressure, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Core Competencies
· Detail-Oriented: Exceptional focus on the accuracy of data and geometric integrity.
· Collaborative: Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical specialists and project managers.
