A respected law firm in Newlands, Cape Town seeks a motivated Junior Attorney to help grow the Estates Administration Department. This is an opportunity for someone who is self-driven and eager to grow within the firm.

Minimum requirements:

2–3 years post-admission experience
Experience in estates administration, including drafting wills and winding up of deceased estates
Ability to work independently and take ownership of files in a newly established department
Solid understanding of the Administration of Estates Act, Master's Office procedures, and executor duties
Experience with estate duty calculations, liquidation and distribution accounts, and formal estate reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional client and family liaison ability (including in sensitive or bereaved circumstances)
High level of accuracy, organisational skill, and attention to detail
Willingness to adapt, problem-solve, and help shape systems and workflows for a new division
Experience with LegalSuite, EstatePro, or similar estates software will be advantageous
