IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager

Reporting Line: Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Overview

Atlas Finance is building a modern, secure, and cost-efficient enterprise IT environment to support its growing financial services group.

We are seeking a hands-on, high-potential IT professional who can own and coordinate all infrastructure, networks, security, and vendor-managed IT services across the group.

This role is not about doing everything personally — it is about designing and owning the environment, managing vendors and contractors, controlling cost, and ensuring stability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Ownership

• Manage virtual and physical server environments (Windows & Linux)
• Ensure uptime, backups, monitoring and patching
• Plan infrastructure growth aligned to business needs

Network & Connectivity

• Ownership of head office and branch networks
• Manage firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi and VPNs
• Oversee ISPs, redundancy and failover

Security Management

• Endpoint and network security
• MFA, access control and vulnerability management
• Support audits and compliance requirements

Microsoft & Licensing

• Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Exchange Online
• User lifecycle and licensing optimisation

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Manage all IT service providers
• Negotiate contracts and renewals
• Coordinate specialist contractors

Team Leadership

• Manage small internal IT team
• Decide internal vs outsourced support model

Cost Control

• Reduce operational IT costs
• Maintain contract and renewal visibility

Enterprise IT Build-Out

• Develop enterprise-grade IT standards
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years infrastructure experience
• Windows Server & Linux
• Virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V / Proxmox)
• Networking fundamentals
• Microsoft 365 administration
