SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Job Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business needs and delivering effective solutions through analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration. The role ensures alignment between business objectives, technology, and operational strategies to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  Collect, analyse, and document business requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with business goals.
• Stakeholder Management:
  Engage and manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
• Solution Design & Recommendations:
  Develop and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions to business challenges.
• Process Improvement:
  Analyse and enhance business processes using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to improve efficiency.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  Interpret data, identify trends, and present insights through reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Project Management Support:
  Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure successful delivery.
• Change Management:
  Support organisational change by facilitating training and helping stakeholders adapt to new systems or processes.
• Quality Assurance:
  Ensure solutions meet required standards through testing and validation.
• Strategic Alignment:
  Align analysis activities with organisational goals and contribute to strategic planning.
• Documentation & Communication:
  Maintain accurate documentation and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve skills and processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Education:
  • Grade 12
  • Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• Experience (5+ years):
  • Business Analysis
  • Requirements Gathering
  • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Financial services / fintech / microfinance industry
  • Stakeholder engagement
