Our client, a well-known wine farm situated in the Stellenbosch area, has an exciting opportunity for a driven and customer-focused individual with excellent people management skills and a passion for wine and hospitality to join their team.

This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the Wine Centre operations and ensuring exceptional and engaging experiences for all wine tasting guests.

The incumbent will report to the Wine Centre Manager, and duties will include (but not be limited to): *Developing and maintaining unique, exceptional and engaging experiences for wine tasting guests *Overseeing the standard operating procedures for the tasting room team *Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the tasting room *Leading, managing and supporting the growth and development of the wine tasting team *Achieving annual budgeted revenue targets *Implementing strategies to increase customer foot traffic to the tasting room *Planning and executing events to drive customer retention and revenue *Recording and analysing daily, weekly and monthly traffic data *Managing financial oversight including revenue targets and budgets *Overseeing inventory procedures, controls, reconciling and ordering for both wine and non-wine products *All other functions related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Cape Wine Academy certification, or WSET, or similar accredited wine course;
• At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial capacity in a wine tasting room / restaurant / food and beverage environment;
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, plan and manage budgets;
• Good computer literacy (MS Office);
• Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle;
• Willingness to work hours as per industry requirements.
