A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking to appoint a Junior Site Agent to join their dynamic team in Gauteng. The company delivers high-quality infrastructure projects across both public and private sectors and is committed to excellence in workmanship, safety, and operational performance.

Minimum Requirements

·        Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

·        Valid Driver’s License

·        Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Agent role on civil projects

·        SACPCMP registration (advantageous)

Skills & Knowledge

·        Strong knowledge of construction site environments and workflows

·        Good technical understanding of civil construction processes

·        Knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS) and applicable regulations

·        Sound knowledge of standard construction specifications

·        Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

·        Strong problem-solving and people management skills

·        Ability to work effectively within a team

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

·       Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient project execution

·       Ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

·       Develop and manage contractual and working programmes

·       Monitor plant usage to ensure productivity and efficiency

·       Ensure accurate surveying at required project stages

·       Establish approved pre-plans before commencement of work

·       Align method statements, resources, and programme activities

·       Maintain accurate forecasts of turnover and cost aligned to programme targets

·       Implement systems to monitor production and costing

·       Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required

·       Update final estimates monthly

·       Ensure accurate and timely submission of weekly and monthly report
