A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong presence across South Africa and Africa is seeking a skilled and professionally registered Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The organisation is known for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across the public and private sectors, particularly in power, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects

Key Requirements:

·        B.Eng / B.Sc. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

·        Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech.Eng)

·        Minimum 5 years’ experience in design and construction management of Eskom and municipal distribution substations (11–400 kV)

·        Experience in Control Plant and/or Primary Plant

·        Strong knowledge of Eskom, NRS, and IEEE standards

·        Experience working within multi-disciplinary project environments

·        Understanding of renewable energy reticulation networks (MV and LV)

·        Knowledge of renewable energy solutions and Grid Code Compliance (advantageous)

·        HV Line design experience will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

·        Execute electrical engineering projects across ECSA Stages 1 to 6, including design drafting

·        Assist with RFQs and technical submissions

·        Prepare detailed technical reports and client presentations

·        Witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning activities

·        Drive innovation throughout design stages

·        Liaise with supply authorities, clients, and stakeholders

·        Manage service providers and contractors

·        Participate in Electrical and Renewable Energy Master Planning

·        Ensure compliance with Eskom standards and applicable regulations

Software Skills:

·        MS Office Suite

·        MicroStation and AutoCAD

·        CDEGS (AutoGrid Pro)

·        PLS-CADD (advantageous)

·        ETAP or DIgSILENT (advantageous)
