Employer: Air Products South Africa (Pty) Limited

The Senior Technician will be responsible for conducting installations and providing supervision of contractors at all ESD customer sites for Packaged Gases. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

1. Effective management of project resources and budget;

2. Effective contractor management;

3. Performance of planned and unplanned project activities as directed;

4. Assisting maintenance technicians with identified project activities as directed;

5. Reporting on project supervision and customer installation related activities conducted;

6. Compliance with required safety systems, engineering procedures and protocols.

Candidate Requirements

1. A Matric certificate with Maths and Science;

2. A completed NTC2/3 qualification;

3. Knowledge and experience with JDE;

4. Must be a Red Seal Trade Tested Fitter artisan;

5. SAQCC registered and authorised Practitioner;

6. Must have 3 - 5 years of mechanical maintenance work and/or project installation work experience;

7. A minimum of 2 years relevant supervisory experience;

8. A minimum of 2 years of contractor management experience is preferred;

9. Must have good verbal and written communication skills;

10. Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite;

11. A valid unendorsed code EB driver’s licence;

12. Must be willing to work overtime as and when required;

13. Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays as and when required.
