COST ACCOUNTANT

The incumbent forms part of a dynamic financial team and reports directly to the Financial Manager.

Work activities, among others, include: 

• ongoing maintenance and generating of new “Bill of Materials” (BoM’s)
• analysis of gross profit margins
• data collection, analysis and reporting of the cost drivers in the production process
• annual price increase calculations and preparation of price lists
• preparation of annual budget for sales and purchases of inventory
• monthly allocation and management of inventory of clients
• preparation of inventory reports and management information
• management of inventory counts and analysis of inventory variances
• monthly reconciliations and financial closings
• standard cost reports and analysis of variances
• coordination and management of relevant information, documentation and inquiries
• assist with preparation for annual financial audit
• liaison with internal and external parties as required
