KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct planned maintenance on press and plastic mould tools
- Conduct planned maintenance schedules,
- Improve operational efficiency,
- Ensure effective quality,
- Ensure cost effective replacements of tools,
- Maintenance of tools, jigs and dies to the maximum up time,
- Adhere to company health and safety and housekeeping standards,
- Develop / fabricate new equipment,
- Liaise with relevant departments regarding their specific requirements and train subordinates,
- Limit reworks and non-conforming product,
- Problem solving on tools, jigs, dies and related machine setting.
- Work a three-shift pattern, standby and overtime,
- Repair breakdowns and assist on machine (Press and injection moulding machines) to ensure correct use and setup of tool moulds.
- Efficient work standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric certificate,
- Trade tested Tool, Die and Jig maker,
- At least 5 years industry experience in plastic injection moulding and metal press tool.
- Previous maintenance experience and a willingness to learn,
- Good communication skills,
- Press and Injection moulding machine experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- CNC Experience, (Milling machine and Wire cutter)
- Read, understand, and draft technical drawings.
- CAD (Computer Aided Design)/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture)
