We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and must demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable, including:
Raising invoices
Following up on collections
Managing bad debt provisions
Liaise with customers regarding account queries
Maintain compliance and updates for Treasury CDB
Respond to customer requests for updated vendor information (e.g., MBD forms)
Maintain and organize filing systems
Provide bookshop support as required (15:00 – 16:30)

Candidate Requirements
Key RequirementsQualifications & Experience
Minimum: Grade 12 with an Accounting diploma or degree
At least 3 years’ experience as a debtors controller or bookkeeper
Proven experience using Sage accounting software
Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Adaptability to changing priorities
Proactive approach to learning and understanding the organisation
