KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effective management of the Plastic department, which includes the management of Supervisors, Setters, Mold changers, Process controllers and Machine operators.
- Ensuring that Plastic department is effectively producing all components and supplying CF, Fridge and SBS lines in time and in good quality.
- Making most efficient utilization of the available sources for production.
- Building team spirit among the workforce and motivating by means of personal involvement so that production levels are achieved and maintained.
- Trouble-shoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output.
- Minimizing cost (scrap, over production, waste, idle, overtime, etc.) and maximizing profit
- Perform work to comply with the company’s safety standards
- To supervise subordinates and achieve scheduled production targets to the required quality standards.
- Ensure regrind material reduction by enforcing usage on non-critical components.
- Reducing Mold change and setup time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Injection molding Advanced qualification and or a N4, T4 electrical / mechanical (Optional)
- Computer Literate (Microsoft office, SAP) and be able to analyze data for production improvements.
- 5 years’ experience with plastics injection molding setting/mold changes and extrusion.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Good communication skills and proven leadership qualities
- Adapt to changes in higher production volumes
