We are seeking an experienced Head: Consumer Distribution to lead the strategy, performance and governance of all consumer-facing sales channels that distribute products to individual customers on behalf of RMA.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sustainable consumer sales growth, optimizing channel economics, and ensuring high-quality, compliant distribution aligned with regulatory requirements, underwriting standards, and strong customer outcomes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Distribution Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute a scalable consumer distribution strategy aligned to business and underwriter objectives
- Own the end-to-end performance of all consumer distribution channels, including payroll/stop order, direct, and intermediated channels
- Identify, develop, and manage new distribution partnerships and growth opportunities
- Ensure channels are efficient, profitable, and scalable.
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Deliver agreed sales, revenue, and growth targets
- Monitor and optimise conversion, persistency, and retention metrics
- Optimise pricing, incentives, and channel economics in collaboration with the underwriter
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
Underwriter & Partner Management
- Act as the primary commercial interface with the underwriter for consumer distribution
- Ensure all distribution activity aligns with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite
- Support product launches, enhancements, and changes from a distribution perspective.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure all consumer distribution activity complies with regulatory requirements and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
- Embed robust sales conduct, monitoring, and quality assurance frameworks
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to proactively manage regulatory and conduct risk.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing consumer distribution teams
- Set clear performance objectives and accountability frameworks
- Foster a customer-centric, ethical, and performance-driven sales culture
- Provide regular performance reporting, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership
- Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Relevant business, finance, or commercial qualification
- Regulatory or industry certifications (Advantageous)
- 8–12+ years’ experience in consumer distribution, sales, or commercial leadership roles
- Proven track record selling regulated products to individual consumers
- Strong experience with underwriter-led or intermediary distribution models
- Demonstrated success managing multiple sales channels and large teams
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking
- Deep understanding of regulated consumer sales environments
- Excellent stakeholder, partner, and underwriter management skills
- Data-driven decision-making and performance management capability
- Proven leadership and people development experience.
