THE JOB AT A GLANCE
As the Head: Exclusive, you will lead the relationship, servicing, and commercial strategy for RMA’s most strategically important employer groups (Top 100 equivalent), characterised by high value, high-touch engagement, and complex claims dynamics. You will be accountable for deepening partnerships, optimising shareholding, driving joint strategic programmes, and ensuring bespoke service delivery across the Exclusive segment.
The incumbent plays a central role in executing the organisation’s Top100 Strategy, ensuring differentiated value propositions, driving joint programmes with clients, and acting as the senior relationship custodian for the segment. The role integrates commercial strategy, client engagement, product support, and governance across multiple internal business units.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Segment Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the Exclusive Segment strategy informed by market insights and organisational objectives
- Identify growth opportunities within the Exclusive portfolio through strategic alliances, enhanced governance models and tailored value propositions
- Lead segment initiatives linked to TOP100 Strategy, Partnership Model, Integrated Governance and Optimal Shareholding.
Portfolio & Relationship Management
- Build senior-level relationships with CEOs, CHROs, Unions, Trustees and key stakeholders across Exclusive accounts
- Oversee differentiated and individualised service models aligned to Exclusive segment expectations
- Strengthen account performance through proactive claims oversight, product optimisation, and integration across value chain functions.
Commercial & Client Outcomes
- Ensure that Exclusive clients receive world‑class, dedicated service supported by tailored operational and claims support
- Drive improved financial performance through retention, targeted cross‑sell initiatives, and proactive risk management.
Stakeholder & Governance Alignment
- Drive integrated governance forums, quarterly reviews and annual strategic alignment sessions with key clients
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk & Compliance, Actuarial and Finance to ensure governance excellence.Governance, Risk & Compliance.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Exclusive segment team
- Promote high-performance culture, capability development and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Business/Commerce/Insurance or related field
- 8+ years’ experience in Relationship Management, Key Account Management or Corporate Segmentation—3 years at senior level
- Proven experience managing high-value, complex portfolios
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Deep understanding of insurance claims behaviour and corporate client environments.
