Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Sales Manager with a proven track record in the automation, mining, and heavy-industry sectors. This role requires a data?driven sales professional with exceptional business acumen, strong strategic capability, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closure and after?sales support.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self?starter who thrives in a fast?paced, non?structured environment and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives. This position plays a critical role in expanding the organisation’s footprint across South Africa and international markets.

Candidate Requirements
- Strongly data?driven with advanced analytical capability
- Formal tertiary qualification in a related field (technical preferred)
- Experience in mining, with understanding of surface and underground operations
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Proven field business development experience in the mining sector
- Familiarity with predictive & prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment
- Experience with automation solutions in an engineering environment
- Ability to manage both new business development and long?term account planning
- Experience working with partners in complex sales cycles
- Fast learner, comfortable in non?structured environments
- Strong self?discipline and ability to deliver results with indirect supervision
- Proven ability to build and maintain C?level consultative relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in an engineering discipline
