As the Legal Advisor, you will report into the Head: Legal Operations. You will perform an effective and efficient Legal Advisor function to the company within the company policies and procedures and relevant legislation.

THE JOB AT A GLANCE
As the Legal Advisor, you will report into the Head: Legal Operations. You will perform an effective and efficient Legal Advisor function to the company within the company policies and procedures and relevant legislation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Represent RMA during Tribunal hearing of section 91 objections
- Manage sections 56 and 90 cases in terms of COIDA
- Draft and review contracts in line with applicable company polices
- Draft and review policy wording on COID related products
- Drafting of legal documents at the request of EXCO or business units
- Draft department activity reports
- Provide professional written and well researched legal opinions and advice to all business units as and when required
- Instruct and draft briefing material for external legal service providers
- Manage all litigation for and against the company and liaise with attorneys and advocates
- Ensure recoveries of all fraud claims
- Represent the department at the Technical Committee meetings
- Assist the department with any other ad hoc legal matters.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 qualification/Matric Certificate
- Legal Degree (LLB)
- 3-5 years working experience in the legal environment
- Admitted Attorney
- Ability to interface with clients and staff
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good presentation skills and ability to interact with senior management
- Experience in drafting Legal documents.
Knowledge and skills:
- Valid driver’s license
- Articulate and able to work with all levels of the company
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- High level of precision and attention to detail
