My Journey
Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town, where I grew up, I never imagined I would be able to accomplish what I have in the last 15 years. I'm not sure how I managed to survive in the midst of gangsterism, drugs, and so many negative influences. I needed to get through all of this without getting sucked into it. Pack n Stack hired me as a merchandiser, which was my first job. I was assigned to Makro Ottery, where I needed to improve my retail knowledge as soon as possible. Long hours, customer centricity, and client expectations are all part of the job. After gaining a better understanding of the function and the industry, I quickly advanced through the ranks: merchandiser, field supervisor, dedicated sales representative, Area Sales Manager, and Regional Sales Manager. PnS recognized my potential and provided me with the opportunity to advance within the company. When our CEO (Glenn Brauns) called to ask me to transfer to Gauteng six years ago, I was filled with mixed emotions, unsure if I would be able to cope in the big city. I realized right away that PnS had helped me get this far, and they would continue to do so. This was the case; since then, I've held positions such as National Account Manager, Commercial General Manager, and Commercial Director for Dedicated Solutions and Retail Support Services. PnS has ensured that our culture is our competitive advantage by creating an environment in which employees can reach their full potential.
